Size & fit

The right fit begins with the right measurement.

Rings: measure the inside

Use a ring that fits the intended finger. Measure straight across its inside edge in millimetres. This is the inner diameter. The circumference is the distance around that same inside edge; it is a different measurement.

A size number needs a named sizing system. Do not compare numbers from different systems without a confirmed conversion. These diagrams explain the measurement; they are not printed to scale.

Bangles: allow for your hand

For a closed bangle, measure the inner diameter of one that passes comfortably over your hand. Wrist circumference alone cannot tell you whether a closed bangle will pass over your knuckles. Hinged bangles and flexible bracelets fit differently.

Bangle sizes such as 2-8 give that inner diameter in inches and sixteenths of an inch: 2-8 is 2 and 8/16 inches, about 63.5 mm. So 2-4 is about 57 mm, 2-6 about 60 mm and 2-10 about 67 mm.

Necklaces, chains and bracelets: length

A necklace or chain of about 40 cm (16 in) sits at the base of the neck, 45 cm (18 in) just below the collarbone, and 50 to 60 cm (20 to 24 in) lower on the chest. Lay a string around your neck where you want the piece to sit, then measure the string.

For a bracelet, measure around your wrist bone and add 1 to 2 cm for a comfortable fit. Ask us on WhatsApp for the length of any piece before you visit.

Not quite your size?

Every ring and bangle is shown with the size of that exact piece. If it is not yours, you can have it resized at our showroom after purchase, at our usual charge. Ask us on WhatsApp if you are unsure how a piece will fit.
