Jewellery care

Small habits help keep your jewellery ready to wear.

Store each piece with space

Separate pieces in soft pouches or a lined jewellery box so they do not rub together. Close chains before storing them, and keep earrings together.

Wear thoughtfully

Put jewellery on after cosmetics and fragrance have dried. Remove it before swimming, exercise or household cleaning. Check clasps and settings; set a piece aside if a stone or fastening feels loose.

Match cleaning to the material

Gold, plated jewellery, pearls and treated gemstones can need different care. Start with a soft, dry cloth and ask for material-specific instructions. Avoid harsh cleaners, steam and ultrasonic cleaning unless the piece has been confirmed suitable.

Keep its details

Keep the invoice and any item documentation together. A photograph and its PO- reference are useful when asking about a setting, size or repair.
